The Origin of the "Turncoat"

Have you ever wondered how the word "Balimbing" originated? Why it is being associated to people who has no stand on their own? Especially politicians who jumped from one political party to another?
Balimbing - Star Fruit or Carambola (Averrhoa carambola) is a unique fruit because of its shape with five angles or points and if you slice it, there is a cross-section that looks like a star.
The five angles served as the different faces of a person that leads to agony most of the time due to their unstable way of thinking. Worst, Economic distress will take place which we are currently in.

Poor becomes poorer and rich becomes richer. Banditti are everywhere. It even invaded the Malacanang Palace when Erap was impeached. A once-in-a lifetime experience, for this is the first time in the Philippines. A shame on our end to think that we are one of the countries tagged as the "third world country," which means that we are in struggle against imperialism, colonialism, neo-colonialism, racism, Zionism, and all forms of foreign aggression, occupation, domination, interference or hegemony as well as against great power and bloc politics.

You see, these things are products of becoming a Turncoat. They are scattered everywhere and is impossible to vanish especially nowadays. For them, it is practical to become multiple-faced. "Balimbing"... a simple word yet a meaningful one. (and real evil) A single person cannot change our present situation overnight. We need to work hand in hand and these need strategic planning along with prayers.
